Welcome To PERA Beckenham
Our name ‘Pera’ comes from one of the most special and historically rich areas of İstanbul which is now known as ‘Beyoğlu’. In keeping with the Western way of life, the area of Pera existed in a separate domain, as a tiny city itself, reliant on and thriving inside its own cultural ambiance. It evolved into an address for the display of luxurious clothing as well as lavish embassy dances and parties. It was possibly one of the world's most opulent and intermingled foreign communities. Pera is still full with with many churches, historical buildings, picturesque arcades, old Ottoman hans and bazaars that are still waiting to be explored.
